Backwater holidays in the world renowned houseboats in Alleppey for one night.This package is ideal for weekend break from Chennai, Bangalore or Mumbai.This package can be customised to include a candlelight dinner in houseboat, a lingering boat cruise along the palm-fringed shores of emerald green backwaters at Kumarakom and A-La-Carte Candle light dinner at a resort.

Weekend Kerala Houseboat Package (1 Nights)- Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival at Cochin/ Kodanad trip and Alleppey trip
When you arrive at Kochi airport/ railway station you will be received by our representative and we will proceed on a 2.5 hour drive to Alleppey and check in to the houseboat.Enjoy the welcome drink while houseboat crew set out on the cruise .
Enjoy the scenes in a Kerala country side in a backwater cruise -skim past bowed down paddy fields, local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes and swaying coconut palms. While cruising in the houseboat look out for local inhabitants making coir products, rustic homes and swaying coconut trees in Kerala country side and other boats passing through .
Starting from Alleppey after visiting Vembanadu Lake the overnight cruise will take you through some of the beautiful backwater attractions of Alleppey. This is a good scenic route and require One day to travel. For Lunch , we will have Kerala Houseboat Menu that includes Rice, Sambar, Aviyal, Thoran, Pappad, Pickle, Curd, Green Salad and Non. Veg. Dishes like Kerala Speciality Karimeen Fish fry or Chicken Curry etc . All meals will be served on board and the boat will anchor at 5:30 PM. Overnight stay at houseboat and the houseboat will anchor near the shore. Dinner with Chappati and traditional Indian/ Kerala dishes will be served at night and you can retire to your rooms for the sleep. A/C will be available from 9 AM to 6 PM in the deluxe houseboat.
Wake up in the morning and enjoy a cup of tea and watch the sunrise along the backwarers. In the morning we will continue with the cruise and try a delicious breakfast with Kerala Items which will incude Food in Kerala You have to try on a Kerala Holiday. Proceed to Kochi for sightseeing.

Departure
Morning, after the breakfast checkout from houseboat and proceed to Cochin for sightseeing. Cochin had incursions by the Arabs, Portuguese, the Dutch and the British, . You can find European influences in the culture and architecture - in St Francis Church, India's first European church & Dutch Palace. Must see places in Kochi include neighbouring Mattancherry, Bolghatty & Vypeen Islands, Lulu Shopping Mall, Edappally and you can also experience the life in Kochi through strolling around Jew Town, shopping for antiques and admiring the wonderful Chinese fishing nets or cheenavaala in use in Kochi . Departure at evening.

The total distance from acovered in this package is 186 kilometers and the road passes through Aluva, Edappally, Aroor, Cherthala, Alleppey , Fort Kochi and back to cochin International airport.The road conditions can be crowded though on occasion with pedestrians, cattle and local traffic! The activities on this trip are geared for children 12 years old and up.

We specialise in Customised holiday packages in Kerala and we will be able to offer you any resort in Kerala as we have direct relationshops with most resorts. If you want to change the resorts in this package, one of our trip designers will work with you till you are happy with the package. Our Trip Designers will be also able to tell you the highlights of each resort and you can decide on whether you woud like to book the same resort
