Day 1
Trip to Munnar from Kochi Airport
You will be collected by our tour representative upon arrival at either the airport or railway station in Kochi. A scenic drive awaits you to Munnar. Feast your eyes on breathtaking views of spice plantations interspersed with sparkling waterfalls. The serene beauty of the tropical foliage and the verdant emerald green of the lush, rich terrain created by the presence of the waterfalls and rivers is truly striking, a truly magical place, the stuff of legends. The journey to Munnar is deliberately constructed to showcase the best scenery and features of the area and includes the Karadippara View Point where we pause awhile to allow you to drink in the view of the tea, coffee and cardamom plantations with the exquisite backdrop of the mountains. What a great prelude to Munnar, the destination awaiting you and the location of your hotel. Once you reach Munnar, check in to one of the best resorts in Munnar

Day 2
Munnar Sightseeing
After breakfast, spend the day in local sightseeing in Munnar and enjoying some of the best places to visit in Munnar . The Kannan Devan Tea Museum is a ‘must see’, to understand the history and influence that the tea plant has had on this part of southern India. There is an interesting Antiques Museum which gives more than a flavour of past colonial control in Munnar and also offers an evening Tea Tour. If you can bear to tear yourself away from the city, Mattupetty is a popular spot for a picnic with its famous Dam and calm, waters, you might even catch a glimpse of an elephant. You can opt to continue your tour by boat or on horseback.

Day 3
Thekkady Sightseeing
Today, you will check out of your Munnar hotel and travel to Thekkady. Thekkady is a region within the Periyar National Park famed for the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. A mixture of deep, green forests and open grasslands, Periyar occupies an area of 300 square miles and is home to elephants, deer, sambar, tigers, macaques and bison. It was declared a tiger reserve in 1978. There is a central lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River, which as well as being a beautiful sight is a focal point for the wild animals. Take an elephant ride or cruise on the lake with the most breathtaking views of the wildlife as they come down to drink. Thekkady will be your resting place for the final night of your tour.

Day 4
Departure
Departure day and our tour escort will take you back to the international airport in Cochin ready for your flight home after breakfast in Thekkady.

We specialise in Customised holiday packages in Kerala and we will be able to offer you any resort in Kerala as we have direct relationshops with most resorts. If you want to change the resorts in this package, one of our trip designers will work with you till you are happy with the package. Our Trip Designers will be also able to tell you the highlights of each resort and you can decide on whether you woud like to book the same resort
